These terms apply when you book a trip with WeSellATour ("we," "us"). By paying a deposit you confirm that you've read them and agree to them on behalf of everyone named on your booking. Please also read our Cancellation & Refund Policy, Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, which form part of these terms.
1. Booking & confirmation
A booking is made when we receive your completed booking form and deposit. It's confirmed only when we send you written confirmation, usually by email within two business days. If we can't confirm your place, for example because the trip has filled, we'll refund your deposit in full.
The person who makes the booking must be at least 18 and is responsible for payments for everyone on the booking. Travelers under 18 must travel with a parent or legal guardian.
2. Prices
Trip prices are per person in US dollars, based on two people sharing a room. Single rooms carry a supplement. Each trip page lists what is and isn't included. Anything not listed as included isn't part of the price.
Once your booking is confirmed, we won't raise the price except to pass on government-imposed taxes or fees, or airline fuel surcharges introduced after you booked. Any increase over 8% of the trip price gives you the right to cancel with a full refund of what you've paid to us. We'll let you know of any increase no later than 30 days before departure.
3. Payment
- Road trips: a $300 deposit per person, with the balance due 60 days before departure.
- Flight trips: a $750 deposit per person, with the balance due 90 days before departure.
- Special-event trips (such as Mardi Gras and the Balloon Fiesta) may need a larger or non-refundable deposit. This is shown on the booking form.
If you book within the balance period, the full price is due when you book. If the balance isn't paid on time, we may treat the booking as canceled by you, and the cancellation charges will apply.
4. Changes you make
If you want to change to a different departure or trip, contact us as soon as you can. We'll do our best to help. Changes made more than 90 days before departure carry a $75 administration fee per person, plus any costs our suppliers charge us. Changes closer to departure are treated as a cancellation and a new booking.
You may transfer your place to another person who meets the trip requirements, up to 30 days before departure, for a $75 fee plus any airline name-change costs. Many airline tickets can't be transferred at all, in which case a new ticket is needed at current fares.
5. Changes & cancellations we make
We plan our trips carefully, but sometimes we have to make changes. Minor changes, such as switching to a comparable hotel or changing the order of the days, can happen at any time. We'll tell you about them when we can, but they don't entitle you to compensation.
If we need to make a major change before departure, such as a significant change to the dates, a different main destination, or a lower standard of hotels for most of the trip, we'll offer you the choice of accepting the change, switching to another trip, or canceling with a full refund of the money you've paid to us.
Each trip needs a minimum number of travelers to run, usually 6 for road trips and 8 for flight trips. If we haven't reached the minimum, we may cancel the trip up to 60 days before departure, and we'll refund everything you've paid us in full.
We may also have to change or cancel a trip because of events beyond our control. These include extreme weather, natural disasters, wildfire, war or civil unrest, government advice against travel, epidemics, strikes, airline failure, and road, park or border closures. If we cancel before departure for one of these reasons, we'll refund everything you've paid us, minus any non-recoverable costs we have already paid to suppliers on your behalf. We'll always try to keep these to a minimum. If something happens during the trip, we'll do our best to make reasonable alternative arrangements, but we can't be responsible for extra costs this causes.
6. Flights
On flight trips, we book international and listed domestic flights on your behalf with scheduled airlines. Flight times, routes, aircraft and seat assignments are controlled by the airline and can change. Airline conditions, including baggage allowances, apply. If you book your own flights, make sure they're changeable, and don't buy them until we've confirmed the trip will run.
7. Passports, visas & entry requirements
You're responsible for having a valid passport (with at least six months' validity after your return, unless the destination says otherwise), and any visas, e-visas, electronic travel authorizations, and health documents needed for every country on your trip, including countries you pass through. We give general information for US citizens, but entry rules change and we can't be responsible if you're refused boarding or entry. Non-US citizens should check with the relevant consulates.
8. Health, fitness & special needs
Each trip page includes a pace rating and notes on what's involved. Please read them carefully and tell us when you book about any medical condition, disability or mobility issue that could affect your trip, so we can advise you honestly. We may ask for a doctor's note. We can decline or cancel a booking if we reasonably believe the trip isn't suitable or safe for you, or for the group.
Some trips go to high altitudes, remote areas or places with limited medical facilities. It's your responsibility to get medical advice about vaccinations, medication, altitude and fitness before you travel.
9. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation and lost luggage. For trips to remote areas (including safaris and Patagonia), proof of emergency medical and evacuation coverage is a condition of joining the trip.
10. Behavior on tour
Group travel works when everyone shows a little consideration. Your leader may ask you to leave the trip if your behavior puts anyone at risk, is abusive, or seriously disrupts the group, or if you break local laws. In this case, no refund will be due, and you'll be responsible for your own costs to get home. Please respect local customs, wildlife rules and park regulations.
11. Our responsibility to you
We'll take reasonable care in arranging your trip and in choosing the suppliers who provide its services, including hotels, transport companies, airlines and local guides. Many of these services are provided by independent businesses that we don't own or control, and they're subject to their own terms. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss, injury, damage, delay or expense that results from the acts or omissions of independent suppliers, events beyond our control, or your own acts or omissions.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim related to your trip is limited to the price you paid us for that trip. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law.
12. Complaints
If something isn't right during the trip, please tell your leader straight away, so they have a chance to fix it. If it's still not resolved, write to us at [email protected] within 30 days of returning home. We read every complaint, and we'll reply within 14 days.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable US federal law. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless the law requires otherwise.
